Q: Is Dim Mak real ? Not a formal part of a Ninja’s training, the art of “Dim Mak”, or “Death Touch” fighting has its origins in Chinese martial arts and has been a subject of controversy for countless years. In theory, Dim Mak is used to disrupt the energy streams that circulate through the human body to cause illness or death. More commonly referred to as “Meridians,” these energy streams are the quintessential road map that links all the nerve centers and vital organs in the body. If an energy stream can be struck with precise force and accuracy, it can effect a completely different part of the body far from the point of impact. Now, the real question...does it work? Many traditionalists religiously say yes, but most modern practitioners disagree, calling it fantasy. All that said, a Ninja must maintain an open mind to such things. |
