INSIDE POSITION TECHNIQUES

INSIDE TECHNIQUE #1 - Shizen Nage - Natural Body Throw (push/pull)

The Ninja drives the Samurai back and then abruptly reverses the energy and pulls them back in the opposite direction. The Ninja quickly maneuvers into throwing position with their right leg trapping the Samurai’s lead leg. The Ninja uses the combination of the momentum, the leverage, and a secure grip on the armor to throw the Samurai. Once the Samurai is on the ground, the Ninja immediately blankets them with his body and attacks with a Kunai to the throat (Fig. 08-16).

INSIDE TECHNIQUE #2 - Mikazuki Uchi - Chin Strike (pull/push)

The Ninja pulls the Samurai forward a few steps and then reverses the momentum as he places a rising palm under the Samurai’s chin, knocking him backward. The Ninja continues the upward push, forcing the Samurai to arch his back and fall to the rear. The Ninja blends with the fall and blankets the Samurai. The Ninja unleashes a Kunai and thrusts in into the Samurai’s throat. (Fig. 17 –25).
